Adrienne Barbeau in The Fog

If you were a fan of Jeepers Creepers and the sequel, Jeepers Creepers 2, I have some exciting news to share with you. A third installment is officially on the way and the beautiful and talented Adrienne Barbeau is set to star! Not only that, but Gina Philips is set to reprise her role of Trish from the original. She is returning to the big screen after a five year absence.

The first Jeepers Creepers movie, released in 2001, starred Justin Long and Gina Philips as a brother and sister driving home together when they appear to witness a strange looking man disposing of a body down a long pipe. They do what anyone in a horror movie would do, they stop to investigate, and find themselves being tracked by an unstoppable monster known as The Creeper. This movie is one of my personal favorites, which a unique performance from Eileen Brennan as one of the townspeople, and a scene that still creeps me out to this day.

In 2003, the sequel was released and I and a lot of other people were kind of disappointed. The plot featured a football team driving home after a game. Their bus breaks down and they are attacked by The Creeper. These events take place a few days after the events of the first film.

Even though I wasn’t initially a fan, over the years, I’ve grown to appreciate this movie. I love a movie where people are trapped, it’s something that really plays on my personal fears.

There aren’t many details on the movie just yet, just that it’s filming and is set to be released this year. I’ll be sure to post new detail as they come in.

If you’re a fan of “two sentence horror” you might recognize this tale.

This was quite a mixed bag. I guess you can’t expect a lot of a movie anthology that comes in at under 2 hours and has 26 separate stories. And to be fair, I kept track of which ones I liked and I ended up liked over half of them. Those were:
A is for Amateur
B is for Badger
C is for Capital Punishment
E is for Equilibrium
G is for Grandad
K is for Knell
L is for Legacy
M is for Masticate
N is for Nexus
O is for Ochlocracy
Q is for Questionnaire
R is for Roulette
S is for Split
V is for Vacation
Y is for Youth
Z is for Zygote

I liked that some of them were just plain scary, while others threw in some humor. A for Amateur was a great way to start off, followed by Vacation and Split. Masticate was very short and pretty funny. It’s also impressive what a filmmaker can do with so little time.

I’d recommend this one, I know it’s streaming on Shudder currently and it’s made me want to check out the others in the series, even though I’ve been warned they aren’t as strong.
