Malevolent

This is a Netflix movie, and it’s another hit for me. I’ve really loved so many of their horror movies, there are very few misses. (I’m looking at you, Open House.) This one is about a brother & sister who advertise themselves as paranormal investigators. Their latest case, a house haunted by the spirits of murdered young girls, turns out to be all too real. This was a lot of fun, very creepy. That one scene on the road broke my heart.

5/5 Coffins for this one. If you have Netflix, check it out.

Happy Death Day 2U

Ok, so there’s been some debate with this one, whether it’s really a horror or not. I’d say it’s gotten a bit further away, but it’s still got horror elements and as Jordan Peele says “Does it even matter?” Whether you think it’s a horror or not, it’s a fun movie series. This time around, Tree’s friends are dying and she has to save them by reliving days over and over. We also find out what caused this all to happen in the first place. I really love this series and there’s a post-credits scene that was so wacky, I really hope a third movie is made. Go into this not expecting a lot of gore and I think you’ll enjoy it.

5/5 Coffins for this one. I really enjoyed it!

(Note about my reviews – I rate movies on how much I personally liked them. So there will be movies that aren’t “perfect” that will get 5/5 because I loved it.)
